Looking for a soap that pampers hair and body? Enjoy this shampoo and body bar that is SLS Free and eco-friendly! No plastic bottles filling up our landfills.
Neem oil has been used for centuries to treat dry, irritated or sensitive skin. It promotes elasticity of the skin and has proven itself with complexion problems. We've combined Aloe and Goat Milk for their tremendous effects on skin/scalp health. The Tea Tree essential oil is highly regarded as an antimicrobial and antiseptic; it is useful for fungal infections and skin conditions. Peppermint essential oil helps with circulation and is also useful for itchy skin, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. We've combined it all into one bar that works from head to toe! Our goal, with the inclusion of goat milk was to bring relief to itchy, flaky scalp issues. In hair care, goat milk replenishes the moisture in every strand by penetrating the hair shaft. It nourishes the scalp which adds life, luster and body to the hair.
Success with Shampoo Bars:
Whether you realize it or not your commercial liquid shampoos and conditioners contain synthetic silicones and silica (sand) that coat your hair, to make it "feel" nice, but leaves a chemical residue in your hair. Synthetic silicones are derived from polymers which are soft, plastic, gel-like substances are hard to remove from your hair and scalp. The detergent shampoos with with loads of SLS are also very good at stripping EVERYTHING (even those natural oils we want).
Before you start using shampoo bars (freeing yourself from unwanted chemicals at scalp level) we suggest using a Baking Soda Clarifying Rinse by adding 1 tablespoon baking soda to 1 cup warm water.
OR a Vinegar Rinse. Plain white vinegar will work just fine, Apple Cider Vinegar - ACV - seems to be the favorite hair care vinegar. We suggest using 1 part ACV to 3 parts warm water. Work it into your scalp and let it sit for a moment. This is working on removing the residue from you ?former chemical life':) Rinse, rinse, rinse.
You need to give the shampoo bars about a week to rid your hair of the old residues from your commercial shampoo. During this process your hair may feel stiff or sticky - Don't give up! Add a small amount of our Aloe Conditioner to your hair and work it through to lay the hair strands down so all the soap can be removed.
Because shampoo bar soaps do not strip hair in the same way as detergent based shampoos, you may notice your wet hair feeling different after washing than you may be accustomed. This is perfectly normal, you'll love how your hair feels after it dries.
Occasionally, while using the shampoo soap, you will want to rinse with the ACV recipe above. It will condition and leave your hair naturally clean and manageable. The smell of the vinegar won't last - don't worry.
The key to success is rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse - did I say ?rinse'????
